As an active reader, it is important for you to reflect on what you are reading. Responding to what you read allows you to apply the same reading strategies you want your students to use: activate prior knowledge, make predictions, ask questions, use text structures, monitor comprehension, and build vocabulary. Therefore, for this option, you will keep a response log (or create your own blog) in which you react to the chapters of either the Right to Literacy book OR the Broadening the Lens textbook.
